Change is rarely easy — sometimes you just need a little extra help. Whether it’s the inspiration and encouragement of a coach, the camaraderie of a companion, or expert guidance from our client services coordinators, Avenues NYC is here to help.
In addition to our men’s and women’s transitional livings, Avenues NYC offers residents and offsite clients access to a variety of supportive services in a casual, comfortable, non-clinical environment. Avenues NYC client services coordinators work directly with clients and their families to determine the right combination of services to address critical issues and promote healthy living. With daily supportive options that provide additional peace of mind, inspiration, accountability, structure, and safety, see if Avenues NYC support services are right for you or your loved one.
Client services coordinators work directly with residents, family members, as well as non-Avenues NYC doctors, therapists, clinicians, and other outside service providers to keep residents on track and promote long-term change. By helping residents create realistic, achievable wellness goals, client services coordinators keep residents accountable while encouraging improved self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-discipline – three cornerstones of healthy long-term wellness.
Weekly check-in meetings ensure that residents are staying on track and focused on the goals that the resident created, while bi-weekly family meetings keep families up to date and informed about their loved ones’ progress on the road to wellness and independent living.
The majority of the time, a client’s transformation involves outside help from a clinician, specialist, doctor, therapist, or outpatient facility. Our client services coordinators assist residents to help ease the process of finding just the right clinical provider for their individual needs. Avenues NYC’s network of clinical professionals features some of the tri-state area’s finest health and wellness providers. Avenues NYC client services coordinators work in tandem with these outside clinicians, keeping an open line of communication to ensure accountability, and an in-depth, collaborative growth.
Avenues NYC coaches can also help take away the guesswork and assist clients in finding the meetings that work for them. When it comes to finding the right support group or recovery fellowship, the number of options available can be overwhelming and intimidating. Our coaches use their personal experience to assist clients in navigating NYC’s vast community to find the right meeting to suit that resident’s goals. Whether it’s a 12-step meeting, SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery, Road Recovery, or non-substance-based fellowships, Avenues NYC coaches can help clients find the meeting that’s right for them.
For clients that have travel or business needs, leaving the safety and comfort of a support network during early life changes can be daunting. Avenues NYC’s companions are available to accompany clients on business trips and vacations, so clients can travel with peace of mind, knowing that someone will be there to help them through a crisis or moment of weakness.
Avenues NYC provides the option for safe, secure transport for clients when needed; most often this means transitioning from an inpatient treatment facility into our transitional living space. From the moment they leave treatment to the moment they arrive at the Avenues NYC transitional living, our transport specialists provide clients with safe and supportive companionship to ensure a seamless and safe transition into their newfound lifestyle.
To help ease the transition into a communal transitional living environment, Avenues NYC residents are provided with 10 hours of free integration coaching. During integration coaching sessions, new residents receive support, guidance, and helpful information to help navigate the road ahead. These integration sessions are the perfect opportunity to explore Avenues NYC’s surrounding TriBeCa neighborhood, learn to navigate New York City, and become familiar with nearby recovery and support groups. Integration coaching sessions also serve to help new residents become familiar with their new housemates, learn about house rules, and how to avoid the stumbling blocks of early changes in a transitional living environment.
